When Spring Fling began in 1974, it started with 20 booths, a handful of carnival rides, and occupied less that one-quarter of the seven acre area Spring Fling now demands. 

Spring Fling has grown to include nearly 30 carnival rides and the involvement of over 120 campus clubs and organizations. 

Due to a number of construction projects on the University of Arizona campus, Spring Fling has been relocated to a venue that is three miles north of campus. The new venue provides Spring Fling with a number of new opportunities that are designed to contribute to the events overall success.
